U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrapped up a tour of the Middle East with a visit to Algeria on Wednesday. The highlight of the tour was an unprecedented summit in Israel with Arab foreign ministers.

However, the trip was overshadowed by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, with Blinken campaigning for support among Middle East and North African countries for support in blocking Russia and trying to mobilize more oil and gas supplies to lessen Europe’s dependence on Russian fuel.
