China Will Have to Pick Up the Pace If It Wants to Achieve Its Billion-Vaccine Pledge in Africa

Chinese vaccine deliveries to Africa remain among the smallest and slowest of any region in the world, particularly compared to distribution in the Asia-Pacific region where almost a billion doses have already been delivered. So far, just 113 million doses have been sent to Africa, according to the latest figures from Bridge Consulting’s vaccine tracker report.

Africa, to date, accounts for 9% of China’s global vaccine distribution.
