The China Association for Disaster Prevention is calling for a halt in all deployments of Chinese rescue personnel to Turkey and Syria. With more than 79,000 people now on scene in the earthquake zones in both countries, including dozens from China, the association said it’s concerned more Chinese staff sent to the region would burden local governments. (GLOBAL TIMES)
